About CFL-WAC Welcome to the Chicago Federation of Labor Workers Assistance Committee! We are here to give you a hand with the process of finding employment. The job search process can be difficult and stressful. We can help you to organize and focus your search, discover the right tools and approaches, prepare for an interview, and achieve the confidence you need to get the job you want. Our Mission The Chicago Federation of Labor Workers Assistance Committee is dedicated to developing and strengthening the skills of Chicagoland workers to fulfill the needs of area employers and vitalize the local economy. History Since its founding in 1994 as a resource for laid-off union workers, the CFL Workers Assistance Committee has expanded to help all job seekers and workers identify employment opportunities. We have an excellent track record placing thousands of workers in new jobs and helping hem improve their overall quality of life. The CFL Workers Assistance Committee maintains an extensive network of potential employers that offers a wide variety of positions in various industries. Our services range from skills-based jobs matching, resumé preparation, consultation and career counseling to training, referrals and other resources. We speak the languages our clients speak: Chinese, English, Japanese, Polish and Spanish.
